Browncoats in the podcast 'verse

My friend Kari has been working on a podcast called "The Signal" about the Firefly TV series & the movie Serenity that's coming out next week. And so, validly, you may ask, "The series ran for less than a season like 3 years ago - how in the hell can there be a weekly podcast about it? And I thought this blog was 'sposed to have something to do with cake?! Speaking of cake, I could use a snack."

Hush, you. I'll get to the cake. Anyhoo, about the podcast, 10 full episodes (and is it 3 special editions?) later, I'm still tuning in every week! They've done interviews with the cast, the guy who scored the TV series, etc. I gotta say, I'm wholly impressed at how it's all turned out. They've definitely done justice to what was an excellent although short-lived show. Now, if they would only bring back "30-something," I'd be set!

So, now for the cake - I ran across this page of cakes today and thought it was pretty great! So retro. See? Told you I'd get to the cake.
