No, they don't contain Snickers!
I hadn't baked in a while, and since people were bugging me to bring in something, I thought I'd make some snickerdoodles. I hadn't baked them in ages, and they're pretty tasty. However, I did not reckon for the barrage of questions about what the &*%£ snickerdoodles are. Generally I send an email out to a very exclusive mailing list to my co-workers (imagine the poor people that piss me off and get bumped from that list!!) that there are cookies at my desk. I think I even titled it "Snickerdoodles at my desk." I put a link to a recipe in the text so people would know what it is, but I really don't think they read much past the part about something being at my desk, however, no matter what it is. I could post "Snozberries at my desk" and I'm sure they'd still queue for 'em. (Queuing being quite the art here.)
But I swear, only the people here from the North American continent had ever heard of them, and all the Brits just asked whether or not they contained Snickers bars. (I think poor Amy was a bit disappointed.)
No. No Snickers here. Move along.

Ooh, and I found an interesting listing for etymology of "snickerdoodle" here. Ain't Google grand?? ;)
