Cooking for a "new" era

I found this wonderful series of videos up on YouTube. It stars a woman named Clara who grew up during the Depression. (As an aside, will calling it the Great Depression go the same way as WWI used to be called the Great War?)

The great part, besides having a better understanding of how families survived day-to-day, is Clara's stories. The one where she made a wish that her horrible boss would get hit by a train (and then he did the following day) was great. And I'm a teeny bit afraid of her. ;)
